Guide for spraying
polyurea on tennis court
1. summary
the tennis court require high rebound capability. In addition,
good elasticity of ground can increase the competitive level
and reduce people's tiredness. As the tennis court are usually
outdoors, the weather resisting property must be very strong.
Comparing with the traditional polyurethane tennis court,
the spray polyurea tennis court, adopting the spray polyurea
elastomer material of our company, has more excellent weather
resisting property, elasticity and effective consrtucting
means.
2. Features of
products
1) with special elasticity and rebound force of polyurea elastomers,
the athletes may have a better feeling of balls and a higher
competitive level, and the tiredness may reduce.

3) polyurea elastomer: 100% solid, without impregnant and
padding, no appearance of crack and pulverization, a much
longer life comparing with the general coating polyurethane
tennis court materials which have impregnant and a large amount
of padding, and may crack or pulverize in sunshine, rain,
or when the tempreture changes
4) strong adhesive attraction with the ground, meanwhile,
can protect the ground from cracking because of shrink or
expand
5) not sensitive on the change of tempreture
6) Environment protection products without impregnant and
pollution. In addition, it will not contract as the impregnant
volatilizes after rigidification.
7) polyurea elastomers: two-component reaction, rapid solidification.
8) polyurea elastomers adopt the special purpose equipment
imported from America, the solidification process can finish
in 10 seconds, and the ground can be walked on after 30 minutes,
which is quite efficient.
For the general tennis court material: coated ny hand, solidify
time 12-24 hours, can be walked on only after 5-6 days, may
be affected by foreign matters, such as defoliations, insects,
etc.
3. Construction
means
3.1 treatment for
base level
1) whether it is concrete level or bitulith level, please
completely examine whether it has level surface and good intensity.
In addition, the gradient of base level should meet the requirements
of drainage.
2) in order to increase the adhesive attraction of concrete
and elastomers, please level and smooth the concrete surface.
Do the next working procedure until the water ratio is below
8%.
3) completely clear away the grease, cement dust and other
foreign matters.
4) use steel brush, bush hammer, abrasive blasting etc. to
clear away the cement foam, parting agent and firming agent.
5) If there is levelling work, please completely examine and
deal with the convex, aging and bulging.
If level the base surface, please
6) clear away the dust with high pressure blower, swab or
cotton yarn, it affects the quality of spray polyurea elastomers
a lot.
7) when all is done, examine carefully and go to the next
procedure until there is no problem.
3.2 Construction
of primer
Choose filtering primer rigidifying at normal temperature.
The type can be decided acoording to actual condition of the
construction base level. The function of primer is to cut
off the humidity of base level infiltrate upowards, prevent
bulge and desquamation of spray elastomers, further reinforce
the base level, improve the cohesional strength between spray
elastomers and base level, and prevent appearing pinprick
or air vent.
Dried naturally until the water ratio of cement floor is below
8%.
The first coating should be even and a little thick, do not
miss any section. The quality may affect the next procedure
very much.
Go to the next procedure until the primer is completely dried.
Note: whether the primer is completely dried will affect the
quality of the next procedures.
3.3 polyurea spray
3.3.1 Calculation of raw materials dosage.

first layer: elastomers
second layer: hard wearing layer

3.3.3 last treatment
After spraying elastomers, examine carefully to see if any
part needs repair or strengthen.
3.3.4 Examine the quality of construction
Start the construction of top coating only if the quality
of elastomers is up to standard.
3.4 Construction of top coating
It is better to choose crylic acid-polyurethane skid preventation
top coating which can prevent yellow stain of elastomers.
The protective coating should be constructed the next day
and it only can be walked on after 24 hours.
3.5 paint labels
Paint labels when it is confirmed that it can be walked on,
the detail construction means are available in the manual.
